Prepositions

A Preposition links nouns, pronouns, and phrases using a relation of time, space, or logic. The word that follows the preposition, that is being related, is its Object. The entire construction is a Prepositional Phrase (see bold).

Time:
Plato died in 347 BCE.

Space:
Darwin made many of his observations at sea.

Logic:
Many revere Freud for his discoveries.
